The Courtauld Institute of Art and ‘Artist Development’ at The Royal Academy of Music invite you to a series of short pop-up performances to draw you closer The Courtauld Gallery’s collection. Visit Manet’s A Bar at the Folies-Bergère to hear from the barmaid herself and experience a new lament on the uneasy scene of Gauguin’s Nevermore.
The collaboration brings together postgraduate students from both institutions, combining their skills in art history, music performance and composition. It is facilitated by Dr Charlotte de Mille and Cevanne Horrocks-Hopayian.

As part of Riot Ensemble's residency at Royal Academy of Music, they run graphic scores and side-by-side projects with performance and composition students. This programme will feature three brand-new works by composition students Yan Ee Toh, Toby Anderson and William Harmer, culminating in a chamber concerto by the Argentinian-Spanish composer Fabián Panisello, who also conducts this evening’s concert.
